Picture #102 of P. 365A very unfortunate event happened. It must have slipped out of my mind or the fact that I had way too many things to do on Friday that I completely forgot to snap a picture of the day. *makes stabbing motion with right hand* It was meant to be a picture of the family's luggage all packed and geared up for our trip which commenced the following day.
Since a picture paints a thousand words, sadly..my words don't. Think dull blue luggage bags, most of them two-wheelers and a black one-wheeler. A total of four bags which carried more than enough clothes, in addition to lots of empty space prepared just for goodies and such.
Enough said.
Brief post on CM later!
xoxo
PS. I just took a huge leap and am on my way to a healthier lifestyle! So excited!

9 July 09 - We ♥ 4Pl ♥ yMay and I went for our first-ever candlelight dinner in a rib-steakhouse called
Ribs by Vinity in D'sara Heights; to be more exact, Jalan Setiapuspa. It's located at the back of Victoria Station and Jake's.
Serves excellent ribs !

The
Caesar salad with Fried Calamari as our starter.

The Ribs and Seafood Combo Platter as our main course piled on top of yummy mashed potato and accompanied with coleslaw.

A shot of us after a very hearty meal.
We didn't even have space for dessert and only managed to scan through the dessert menu where I eyed a particular Apple Crumble but my tummy procrastinated.
To start off the second half of the night, I picked up Sheryl, Evangeline and Alina before leaving for 4Pl
♥y in Zouk.
(Not before snapping a few 'costume shots' in Sheryl's garage)

What they wore.

What I wore.
Zip me down, baby.
It was also the launch of BEP's new album : BoomBoomPow in Zouk mainroom where there were promoters handing out
'Boom' and
'Pow' flashcards along with posters and t-shirts.

There, we met up with the boys as planned earlier.
Twas good to have Dhar, Sarv, Bryan and Ashwin under the same roof, clubbing together for once.
Mini-TTDI reunion, yo!

Zouk always gives out these cute stickers.. in abundance. Smiley face saying i'm swine flu free and the other expressing my love for 4Play. They thought it'd be funny if I stuck them at the most visible and inappropriate places.

The long island tea the 3 of us shared which took 5 rounds of ten second-straw-sips to finish. Burp.
Left: Don't leave me, May! haha
Right: With the birthday boy, Ashwin!

The boys reunited.
Picture #101 of P.365. This is by far the most funny picture of the night whre the only ones looking good are May and Sarv. Ally would be too if Naveen didn't cut her out of the picture, blame my not-wide-angled Sony cam.
That's Dhar carrying Sheryl btw...with his eyes closed!
More to come, please?

8 July 2009 - Day Out with AmandaAnd my beloved fashionista and shopping-partner-in-crime wasted no time getting up and about around town ( by town, i mean shopping malls) the minute she landed in KLIA.
A spontaneous text sent me cruising to 1 Utama to see Manda...it's been almost 2 years since we last gave each other a big hug but constant communication through MSN all these while have brought us even closer than before.
After spending almost two hours in Topshop *
yeah, the miniature one in 1u* we proceeded for tea/lunch in Delicious Cafe.

I had to give myself an award for restraining myself from ordering a chocolate brownie. Instead, I opted for a simple
honey lemon tea which was lip-smacking!

Amanda and her Delicious Cheeseburger & fries
(of which I stole a bit of!)Pretty soon, we had Shamay and Michelle join us for a quick chat.
The more, the merrier!

With Michelle who's leaving for UK in September too..woohoo!

Lastly,
Picture #100 of Project 365 (amazed I made it this far?) Amanda and I. There are many other nicer ones stamped in her camera but I guess this'll do. More "together" shots to come tomorrow for our bak kut teh and Harry Potty session!

Back from ChiangMai!Sa wa dee Kaaaa !
(God knows how many times I heard that line while in Thailand)After a very relaxing trip abroad, I'm finally back home in time for results which are due in less than 24 hours time. Eep.
On a sadder note, I didn't manage to buy anything else except for a bunch of earrings, a white lacy top and a Jaspal dress. Best part was, the whole of Thailand was on sale and I didn't go too crazy which was very unlike me.
Guess the hot weather buried all the shopping excitement.
Food was good especially the beyond-delicious Tom Yam soup which was present almost every meal.
I promise to blog more later but right now, all I want to do is go out for mamak with my girls before returning home to crawl into my comfy bed and sleep the night away.
Big, big day tomorrow!

There's going to be a mini hiatus ( a very very mini one, i promise!) as I am now already done packing for my Thai trip with 3/4 of the entire Goh family (mom's side) and will be leaving before the sun rises, jetting off in that uncomfy red mini airplane to the land of spicy good food and cheap clothing!
Read weather forecasts that the bright yellow sun will be at full force in Chiang Mai for the next few days and I'm looking forward to returning home even more unevenly darker than I already am with bags filled to the brim with goodies!
Had very distraught-ing news on my beloved Flat 28 two days ago which turned out to be a very serious matter indeed and I've been having sleepless nights over it. I won't go much into detail because I've said it over and over again to almost everyone I crossed paths with and am getting really sick of relating the story.
Hopefully this holiday will take my mind off matters and that the housemate will be able to resolve as much as he can in the coming days.
Before jetting off to watch at least one episode of HIMYM, I had a really interesting conversation with Nigel over Mamak with the gang just now.
To (some) boys, video games are like clothes to us girls.
There are always brand new ones in the market and you never get sick of buying 'em but once you're through with the game, you toss it one side and hardly ever *play* it again.
It's hardly economical.
Rhetorical question, why the heck are we girls so addicted to compulsive shopping for clothes, then?!
PS. My thigh got pierced by a stray toothpick and it friggin' hurts

Earthquake Tuesday (again!)It's nothing like Haagen Dazs nor my favourite B&J's but give me half price for Swensen's Earthquake and I'm there.
This time it was a much larger group than usual.
While May and I spent 30 minutes waiting for the rest, we couldn't resist killing time with a
Banana Split.
Vanilla, Choc and Strawbewwie Ice Cream topped with uber-fattening whipped cream and cherries sandwiched between two bananas.

May put her 'photography' skills to the test and succeeded.
Picture #99 of Project 365. Ally, Sheryl, May and myself about to dig into a ginormous earthquake which we happily 'devoured' in less than 10 minutes to the horror of the boys - Sarv, Ashwin and Bryan who probably have never seen such a ferocious act before.
We endured the slight rain and headed to Murni's which was just a 2-minute drive round the block for more supper!

...where I shared a
Roti Hawaii and a bowl of
Tom YumYum with Sheryl. And after that night, it's no wonder I'm having a hard time squeezing myself into shorts and tops which were once a tad bit loose.
Damn.
I'll have to do 100 laps of swimming in daily dosage!

Before I end this post, an interesting photo on the evolution of Alina's handphones throughout the years.
Can you spot the once oh-so-famous Nokia 3310?

And one of the billion reasons why I love honeypie May is because she wanted to watch
"17 Again" as badly as I did! Watch hunky Zac Efron on screen was exactly what we did on Tuesday night, a very spontaneous decision if I may add. Besides his gorgeous blue eyes and jaw-dropping smile, the movie didn't live up to my expectations and from the corner of my eye, I saw May's eyes fight to keep themselves open. It was good to see Matthew Perry/Chandler on the big screen for once, eventhough he played only one-eighth of the movie.
Week #14-2 of Project 3656 July 09
Picture #98. The installation of new doors in the house which consumed almost 8 noisy hours of my life. But hey, home never looked much better (especially my room), so I'm not complaining too much ;) I kinda miss my old yellow door with all its faded-in stickers stuck to them.
Out with the old and in with the new !

Picture #97. Dinner @ Murni's SS2 with the girls! It was both May's and my first time there ever since we returned home. I remember craving for their
Claypot Loh Shi Fun sometime ago back in England. Needless to say, craving SATISFIED. Not only that, I had a taste of their Mi Raja, Roti Hawaii and Maggi Goreng and was too full-up for the rest of the night.

4 July 2009Happy Independence Day, y'all Americans! For the record, my Saturday night lasted all the way from 7pm til 4 am.
Not that it's very surprising considering...well, that it's me.
But on the plus side, I turned down 3 offers to be out and about on Friday night, stayed home and slept early instead *
beams in obedience*
For
Mr. Edmund Tan, i kept my 4th of July Saturday night free to celebrate his belated birthday.

After a very long and satisfying birthday dinner in
Euro Deli where I had yummy lamb, it was time to get the real party started..for me, that is.
Lin-dy and I left for
Aristo at approximately 11pm where we had to endure the silly traffic jam
(even at that hour!) which left me cursing to no end.

We finally reached Aristo 45 minutes later.
Above: Myself, Rachel and Lin-dy.
If you're wondering what the
smiley faces Lin-dy and I both have stuck at the most inappropriate place are, *
wiggles eyebrows cheekily* they're prove that we're swine flu-free! On the sticker, it reads
"Healthy 100%." Zouk's very strict on the people going in and out of the club now.
The bouncers are required to hold this special heat sensor thingy where they test the temperature of each and every person before allowing them entry into Zouk.
I've seen people getting turned down because their forehead was just too hot.
And i totally support this idea!
Keep the H1N1-ians away from us healthy people, thank youu!

The bottle of Moet that came with the sparkly!
reminds me of the Moet we had in Funky. This bottle cost about 10 times cheaper than the one in Funky and tasted even better!

Cheers to a night with yummy Moet!

Because only classy people drink champagne. Check out my already half-empty glass. *
smiles sheepishly*
30 minutes later, Lin-dy and I left for
Cynna Bar/Upstairs
It was his lifelong dream to celebrate his 21st in a club.
Now, who could say no to that?
Picture #96 of Project 365 : My hardcore Tmn Tun friends whom I met in Upstairs after persuading them to join us in Heritage Row. It's been so long since I've last went out with them to have a good time and fear not girlies, although we didn't have a proper night out
(what with Lin-dy and I running all over the place), I'll definitely make it up to you!

Felt like a Paparazzi after having snapped this photo of my beloved Sangi with her Aussie beau, Jeremy.
Still remember her telling me
"Hel, I want you to be best friends with him! Go be his best friend right now!!"I love her.
"Come up here and dance with me, baby"
The highlight of my night was being on top of the podium behind the DJ in Upstairs! And that was the outfit I wore for that night. Too bad my killer white heels weren't caught on camera.
I felt like a table-nomad flittering back and forth between Ally's table and Mund's in Cynna while at the same time texting Ally every other minute.

I reached Cynna just in time to see Mund down a
Flaming Lambo as his birthday treat.
The result : A face with the epitome of a tomato.
Making up for lost time with Kevan (left) since we both missed out on almost 10 years of each other's lives and Khing Wei (right) who just landed from Sydney that very morning.

Last but not least, don't drink and drive! ;)
